The last lap.

Finally, we have reached the end of our journey. It was a bumpy ride filled with tears and laughter; a trip which we will all remember.

Thank you for keeping us in your prayers. Your thoughtful words of encouragement helped to make the days less tedious.

Looking back, we marvel at how much the kids have grown in this short span of time. The children will have many colourful stories to tell you ,when you meet them later. Please hear them out, for they have earn the rights to tell them. We believe this episode in their life will remain dear to them for a long, long time.

Thanks once again and see you in Singapore!

With best wishes,
The Nanjing Immersion Team

p.s. From Mr Yap: I would like to thank my wife Anna for taking care of the kids during my absence. You made it sound simple but I know it has been tough. I couldn't have done all this without you.

It's really heartwarming going through all the blogs, photos and videos daily for the past 15 days.

To the dear children who were on the Nanjing trip,
Thank you for sharing this chapter of your life with those of us in Singapore. Your faces have endeared us to you though we don't know many of you before this. I'm sure you have all learnt precious lessons of perseverance and bravery, independence and self-reliance. Not to mention the friendships forged, the deeper understanding of the Chinese culture and appreciation of the different lives lead by our fellow Chinese in China. May these beautiful experiences and lessons stay with you and make you appreciate and treasure what you have been richly endowed with and make all of you better global citizens.

To all the teachers who led the team and the other caregivers,
we really appreciate the sacrifice you have made (a huge chunk of your June holidays is over) and the loving care showered upon our children, seeing to their emotional and physical needs. You deserve a good rest!

Thank you all for the beautiful memories. Welcome back and Happy Holidays!

Gratefully yours,
Wei Neng and Mui Eng

A big thank you to Mr Yap for the daily updates. Many thanks too to all the teachers for taking such a good care of Isaac during the whole trip.

We were not able to thank you personally at the airport just now. However, seeing the many happy faces and the spontaneous hugs, we know that the children really appreciate your efforts. They know that you really care.

We really appreciate your care, efforts and time.

Time really flies. It's been a week since we return from Nanjing. Hope everyone is resting well. =>

For the parents: Thank you for being such supportive and understanding parents. Your trust and words of encouragement has kept us going during the 15 days.

For the pupils: You have been a wonderful lot, obedient and thoughtful (remembering Dawn offering me a lozengous when she heard that i had sore throat--i'm very touched!). Really enjoyed the time spent with all of you.

For my teachers: You have been such great team-mates, so supportive and understanding. Mdm Seah is ever so caring and motherly, diligently looking after the welfare of the pupils and ours. Ms Chua Hock Yen is humourous and fun-loving, keeping the pupils and us in high-spirits most of the time. And our super cameraman, Mr Yap is always in action, conscientiously capturing valuable 'moments' of the pupils, and at the same time raising the spirits of the pupils with his sense of humour.
DEAR FELLOW TEACHERS, THANK YOU! THIS IS A GOOD LEARNING EXPERIENCE FOR ME AND ITS REALLY A PLEASURE WORKING WITH ALL OF YOU! =>
